Marcus Kreikerbaum, a Professor, made some ships from wood and bird wings, which he was finding from the streets in Germany. Basically, he wished he could help people to come to a secure place. His small ships are not able to save the life, but can transfer a message to the world. A wish from an ordinary person! These ships became like a symbol of wish for freedom. That is why I let the ships inside the Ocean/River in countries where war/conflict exist at the moment.

Director Biography – 

Yama Rahimi is a contemporary artist from Afghanistan. He has a bachelor of Film-directing from the Faculty of Fine Art at Kabul University, and he is at the moment in last year of a MA degree in Germany. He was director assistant of Center for Contemporary Arts Afghanistan (CCAA). His focus is on video art, conceptual
photography and conceptual short film. Up to now, Yama had participated in more than 25 Solo and group art exhibitions in Afghanistan and more than 15 different countries, including White-chapel gallery – London, Venice biennial – Italy and UCLA – California Los Angeles. Since his arrival in Germany in November 2015, he has had exhibitions at EBS – Hattenheim, Frauen Museum – Wiesbaden and Nassauischerkunstverein – Wiesbaden.
