Director Biography – Anna Winzer

The name Anna Winzer is a pseudonym, used for safety reasons. The real name of the film director is Anastasia Vinokurova

Anastasia Vinokurova was born 1977 in Moscow, Russia. She studied laser physics at Moscow State Lomonosov–University and after moving to Germany also audio-visual media at TFH Berlin.
Since 2008 she is a freelance author and director for radio and documentary film. 2009 she founded production and service company Osteuropa Medien (now east media) with focus on Eastern Europe.
As a bicultural author, she wants to mediate between East and West and tell authentic stories from Eastern Europe.
