“The Voyage of Alan” depicts the treap of a young boy and his father as they traverse the seas aboard a vessel shaped like a seashell. Throughout their journey, they encounter diverse characters and embark on numerous adventures, all while maintaining a poignant and non-dramatic narrative. This film, which intricately weaves together music and dialogue, elegantly and sensitively portrays the concept of migration from the perspective of a child.
Director’s Biography- Le Marchand
Born in France in 1981, Solenn moved to Italy when she was 19 to study cinema at Venice University. She soon combine together her passions for music and cinema creating the music band
Grimoon with Alberto Stevanato. For their band, they realized over 70 short movies. In 2012 she applies to the CGI master at Bigrock school in Italy but her love for stopmotion animation is
stronger and she soon comes back to it.
Since 2012 she collaborates with several musicians making stopmotion music videos. In the past years she directed the following videos:
