Director Biography – Rich Felgate
Rich is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and climate activist. His debut feature film FINITE: THE CLIMATE OF CHANGE tells the inside story of communities in the UK and Germany taking direct action to defend their homes, nature and our climate from opencast coal mining. Whilst filming, he spent a year and a half living with the communities in protest camps. FINITE won the Focus Future award at its European Premiere at the 32nd International Filmfest Emden-Norderney and was Europe’s first recipient of the Patagonia Media Grant.
Rich has broadcast credits on BBC and Discovery and worked on “Frack Free Lancashire”, winner of the environmental award at the British Documentary Film Festival.
