Director Biography – Zeljko Mirkovic
Željko Mirković, director, producer and professor of film and digital media in the USA. Owner of Optimistic Film Production since 2007.
He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, Serbia and got a master’s degree at the Bournemouth University Media School, Great Britain. Currently a doctoral student at the University of Vienna, Austria and Faculty of Media and Communications, Belgrade, Serbia.
He won 62 international awards for his films. Feature documentary The Second Meeting was an official Academy Award candidate for the best feature documentary in 2014.
Tesla Nation was an official Academy Award candidate for the best feature documentary in 2020.
