Director Biography – Deniz Türker

Illustrator and animation artist Deniz Türker was born in 1995, in Istanbul’s Beykoz district. After completing her primary and high schools there, she went to Ankara for university. She graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Commucation, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema in 2017. Türker who is doing video editings, after taking digital drawing education also made drawings for various children books. Then combining these two fields she turned to animation. Firstly she performed the drawings and animations of the documentary ‘Genocide is Its Name’ directed by Tülay Gökçimen. Finally she worked for a year on her first professional work in the animation field, “Numbers”. The film received various awards at festivals and continues to do so. She continues her works at the field to ensure every person in the world reach their fundamental rights and freedoms.
