This short science fiction film is told from the perspective of a time-traveling archaeologist, eager to share his findings from the excavation of abandoned human settlements in a climate-changed 23rd century.

In the mid-21st century, a group of quantum engineers develop an engine to boomerang a small spacecraft and crew at near light speed out of the solar system and back again. The time dilation experienced by those on board means that after a journey of four years in cryonic stasis, two centuries will have elapsed on Earth. Returning to Earth in the year 2254, they hope to gather data on how humanity has adapted to climate change. They investigate three zones – an AI corporate headquarters; a permaculture commune; and an energy security complex – with each site representing a contrasting approach to energy transition. The team archaeologist is responsible for the excavations, but will his mission succeed?
