The production of “The Hole Sock” began in 2020 on the Greek island of Lesvos. During the pandemic flooding the world, a group of young people from the Human “Lex” Instytut Foundation arrived at the Moria refugee camp located there. It was a mix of personalities and experiences with one goal in mind – to create a documentary.
This is how an extraordinary story began, torn by adversities like the fire of the Moria camp, which is a story about young people living in Europe, facing various types of problems, having different histories, brought up in different cultures, each with a baggage of difficult experiences. The heroes of this story, despite numerous adversities, cultivate their passions, do not give up, face what fate brings them. The film shows the diversity and multiculturalism of young people in Europe in an accessible way, without stretches or patterns, and without using stereotypes.
