Director Biography – Arian Tomar

Arian Tomar is an award-winning Los Angeles based documentary filmmaker and climate storyteller from Minnesota. Currently studying film production at the University of Southern California, Arian draws from his mixed cultural background to bring diverse audiences into an immersive narrative experience through stunning visual imagery and intersectional storytelling.

Inspired by his experience studying abroad in British Columbia, Canada, Arian is motivated to uplift stories of community-based climate solutions. Through documentary filmmaking, Arian seeks to create a connected and informed audience, empowered to make a difference through education and storytelling. Arian is also an outdoors enthusiast and uses his platform with environmental advocacy groups to inspire youth action through art, while centering BIPOC perspectives in climate action.
