In part two “Care”, Veronika Dräxler wears one of the white Fintec camouflage jackets on her hands, under a veil (Veil of Violence*), in which she hunted in part one. She walks through a spiral of stones, pravs articles from the UN Genocide Convention and is followed by a drone.

Fluidly, she transforms herself from the foreboding goddess of the hunt, Diana, into a lamenting war widow.

Director Biography – Veronika Dräxler

Veronika Dräxler is a media and performance artist whose interdisciplinary research investigates how to balance forces. She appropriates patterns and materials in our cultural landscapes that have been shaped by trauma caused by the (ab)use of power. Then she rearranges them into new environments through self-invented healing rituals.

She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in
Munich with Klaus vom Bruch, Andrea Fraser
and Martin Fengel (2011 – 2017). In 2022,
she completed her Meisterschüler with Anna
Anders at the Berlin University of the Arts.

Recent solo and group exhibitions include Kunstverein Grafschaft Bentheim, galerie weißer elefant Berlin, Stellwerk Kassel, Motorenhalle Dresden, SPARC Venice and under other
Cabaret Voltaire Zurich.
