Through interdisciplinary processes, artists and researchers investigate the connection between the human body and the geological depth of subsurface environments. The project focuses on the prehistoric caves of the Swabian Jura, where Ice Age humans sought shelter and created the oldest known examples of human figurative sculptures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Director Biography &#8211;<\/strong>&nbsp;Verena Stenke, Andrea Pagnes, VestAndPage<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-layzr=\"https:\/\/imefilmfest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Verena-Stenke-Andrea-Pagnes-VestAndPage.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3704\" style=\"width:233px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/filmfreeway-production-storage-01-storage.filmfreeway.com\/press_kits\/headshots\/002\/545\/418\/original\/a29c3e1cdf-headshot.jpg?1698752333\"><\/a>Since 2006, German artist Verena Stenke and Venetian-born artist and writer Andrea Pagnes have been working together as VestAndPage internationally in performance art, performance-based film, writing, publishing and temporary artistic community projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2010, they have been devoted to experimental performance-based filmmaking, producing four feature-length films, a silent film, a trilogy of shorts, and numerous other shorts, art videos and interview series. In 2020, they published their manifesto on performance-based filmmaking: \u201cPoetics of Relations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are the founders and directors of the Venice International Performance Art Week, and their poetic writings and research articles have been extensively published and translated for international readers.
